Hi Everyone, welcome to my first post of my photo blog~ Thanks for visiting here, and I hope you enjoy my photography! Feel free to stay in touch with me if you have any questions related to photography and such.
Recently, I've decided to leave my job teaching English in Korea and to focus on photography as my full-time job. I think teaching is great and education is important, but I've reached my limit with teaching English. I love teaching, but just not in the Korean private institutes. I believe there are better ways to learn life skills, English, and other subjects. Teaching is just not what I want to do anymore. So, I need to focus on my art and creating. Art is a more effective way for me to reach out to others and for me to be a more effective person.
I'm excited and I'm a bit terrified at the same time that I will be a freelance photographer full-time beginning so soon. Now that I'm married and have more responsibility, I have to provide for more than just myself. I can work for long hours without a problem because I love photography but my concern is being able to find enough work to create a full-time income.
Part of the excitement of life is tied in with the risks that we take. I'm really exhausted with teaching English, I know that route is closed now. Life is too short to work at jobs we don't like. I was born with a desire to create and I think that God will make sure that I stay on my feet by taking this risk. I believe that the energy we give into the work we love will positively effect others and that it will create the network we need to make things work out.
