Photography and Its Purpose

What is photography to you?

I think that photography is a beautiful art for many reasons. For me, it's one-part being able to make art from a moment, and it's one-part having the ability to re-live a memory more vididly; even if it's someone else's wedding or special moment. We're connecting with the subjects photographed, whether it's conscious or not. There is always beauty in the present moment. However, if we can preserve the memories of the past, we can re-live those experiences that we don't want to forget.

The possibilities within photography is endless. It can often catch the moments you weren't expecting as well. I enjoy candid photography and the moments that happen in-between posed pictures. You can catch a genuine interaction between the subjects and the environment. Life is incredibly complex and so are the times that we often go through. Having photographs that represent life and its realities is a beautiful thing.

Photography is a passion of mine because it represents life in a vidid way. Photographs can also be changed to give a perception of our reality and the way we see things. It's a dynamic art~
