Worried about making a speech, a mistake, or how to handle any situation that may cause pressure? Join the club, but it all passes. Over time, memories and actions fade away. Of course, life isn’t worthless or devalued because of this. Life is simply always moving forward. Most people are thinking about themselves; what they’re going to do next, how they look to others, or what the next goal is.

Life doesn’t have to be overcomplicated to the point of making the next decision based on how others will perceive it. We should always be working for a better self, better society, better living. Perfection isn’t required but a willingness to try to be the best we can be, despite setbacks and complications, is important.

The point is that we shouldn’t let nervousness prevent us from trying something new; especially if it’s something we are passionate about. I love music. When I had the opportunity at church to lead singing and music, I took the opportunity. However, it was a little intimidating to stand up in front of everyone, play guitar, and sing.

Maybe if I didn’t really care about it, I would have been able to just avoid the situation. However, I love music and God, and decided I should take the chance to share my talents, despite the nervousness I may feel. As it turned out, it was a lot of fun and I felt really satisfied with helping out. Even if it was a difficult time, and didn’t turn out well, it still would have been an experience to grow from.

Time always moves on, it’s the beauty and curse of life. You can never hold onto something forever while living on this earth. You may have a beautiful moment, but it almost causes more pain to know that it won’t last forever. Beauty leads a risk of loss, and pain leads for a greater appreciation of beauty.

Time is temporary in this world, but it’s still a gift. We can’t allow apathy and ignorance to cause indifference towards the deep complexity of life. The capacity to love and experience deep connection is invaluable, even in a temporary life.

The permanent afterlife must be awesome compared to the pain that coincides with temporary living, however there is something about the ups and downs and the mistakes that are made in this life that perhaps makes a big difference in the long run. I’m excited to see what’s next. However, I’m just as excited to make the most of this temporary, random, exciting life. All the best to your journey - make the most of any opportunity~
