If You've Lost Passion

Nothing is worse than not knowing where to go, or feeling lost in the midst of things. What’s interesting about life is both the complexity and simplicity of it. We’re not simply animals acting on instinct, but we have a million choices to make. Sometimes the amount of choices that we can make can be over-stimulating, and we may not know where to go.

Passion is the guide. Obsession can lead to trouble. Goals and ambition are what everyone needs to be successful and to keep moving forward. Where do we go when we’ve lost passion?

Everyone moves towards something. They have something that they value, appreciate, or that gives them meaning. It’s up to us to choose the direction we pursuit. When we lose passion, we then lose hope. When we lose hope, we spiral into depression. What’s the point of living when we’ve got no direction?

It’s a beautiful life, and it’s a shame to think otherwise. Those who do drugs or find “happiness” in shortcuts don’t really experience true joy. Life takes patience and understanding. Even this blog post may be easily forgettable, but I write these posts in order to help others find a sense of peace. We all go through hardships, and each journey is different. However, the pursued result should be the same: love, peace, and happiness.

When we lose passion, we’re in a hiatus until we find it again. Life isn’t just a fun time, an adventure, or a meaningless moment of spontaneous fun. It’s meant to be a work towards something. Why would we even bother to pursue anything meaningful if it were to fade away in the end?

Nothing is ever lost. Life has a strange way of revealing itself. Whether it’s through hard times, commitment, and dedication, we all work toward a goal. Challenges may seem to sweep us backward, and we can feel we’re losing ground. However, we move ahead faster than we may think. Sometimes it takes a close friend or a diary to understand the real progress of our development.

When we lose passion, we need to ride it out. Sometimes we just need to bleed out the negative, and rejuvenate ourselves. Being honest with emotions is the best way to work through them. Hurt comes to all of us. As much as we wish we were bulletproof, it’s just simply not the case. Fortunately, healing brings a strength that we often are unaware of until the healing is complete.
