Buy Quality Things

It’s great to save money, but having quality things is quite important. If I buy something of quality, not only is it likely to work more effectively for me, but I’ll also be more in the mindset of taking care of myself. That mindset can lead to a hiring quality of living and expectation for myself.
Being a cheap person reflects in most every area of that person. When someone is cheap, the mind then perpetuates a small mindset and produces more cheap results. It can sound negative, but it’s true. I’m not saying to spend excessively, but taking care of ourselves.
If I take care of myself, I’m going to respect myself more. Everyone subconsciously has a certain amount of money they are comfortable with managing. If they start earning too little, then they will be creative and find new ways to earn money. Also, if people start making more money than they are comfortable with (this is actually a thing), then they will subconsciously (or consciously) start spending more. A perfect example is lottery winners. Most people who win the lottery will go back to the same lifestyle and managing the same amount of money because it’s compatible with whatever mindset they’ve created for themselves.
If we’re able to improve just one area, let’s say we start taking care of our hygiene well, shaving often, styling hair, dressing well, and wearing clothes that fit and are not worn out. These changes are going to affect the way we feel about ourselves and everyone will interact with us differently. Think about rolling out of bed, throwing on sweatpants, and not shaving. It’s not the worst crime in the world, but we’re really not putting out a good message in how we present ourselves and how we care about presentation.
At the beginning of 2017, I decided to treat myself much better, and to respect myself more. I also have daily expectations for myself – they aren’t always easy to achieve, but I still do my best to catch up when necessary. If we don’t have something to discipline us, or help us to stay on track, then success in many areas, even seemingly unrelated may pass us by. I’m not perfect, but I sure want to get the most out of this life. At the end of the day, we always come back to ourselves. If you don’t like who that person is, then what could you do to become that person? Just one improvement can get that ball rolling.
